There are many reasons you may choose to purchase window treatments for your home or office.
In addition to the aesthetic changes of creating a softer, warmer appearance, sometimes you may need them to serve a more functional purpose for privacy or for filtering harsh sunlight. The ultimate goal is to bring a room together and harmonize with the different elements in the room.
The style of your drapery, curtain, or top treatment should be determined by the style of the room they’re going in and what type of fabric will be used. For example, a valance or short curtain is more casual than a soft flowing long drape or an elegant swag with tails. A basic tab top is more casual than a pleated drapery treatment.
The room in this picture is an example of how simple pleated drapes can softly frame tall windows, making an otherwise informal space more inviting. The fuchsia colored fabric was selected from one of the colors in the coffee table to bring harmony to the room.
